Only a few miles away is Dudley Castle dating back to about 1070 and, Dudley Zoo which host a vast variety of animals from all over the world. Around the corner from Dudley Zoo is the Black Country Living Museum which is one of the best open air museums in the country. All the buildings  are from the local surrounding Black Country area, which have been removed and restored in the museum, the local Public House ,Fish Shop, Chemist, Ironmongers, Bakers, Chain Makers, Back to Back Houses, and many more attractions all restored back to the time of the turn of the century. You can even take a ride on a Tram or visit the underground Limestone Caves on a Canal Barge.  

Dudley's Castle Gate leisure complex as a 14 Screen Showcase Cinema and a Bowlplex tenpin bowling alley, Bars and Restaurants plus the 98 bed De Veres Village Hotel with a 30,000 sq ft Health and Fitness Club

A little further away is the Merry Hill Shopping Centre with all the major shop retailers, and next to that is the Waterfront Canal Marina with canal side Restaurants and Bars.
